Patrick D. in Nevada, OH called Mid-State Basement Systems because the church building he owned had several severe issues that needed to be repaired. Some of the concrete blocks on one of the walls had shifted inward more than two inches. This was especially troublesome because the damaged wall lined the handicap-accessible ramp and the blocks were obstacles for feet and wheels.
We were able to use Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to permanently pull the wall back into its original position. These are galvanized steel anchors with one side embedded in the earth outside the building and the other bolted to the inside of the foundation wall. We also replaced a drain in front of the front door because the old one was highly damaged.
The church owner is happy with the results and he knows that the congregation will be safer with these updates and repairs.
