Crawl Space During Inspection
During his inspection, our sales inspector Andy found that the previous crawl space liner had been torn out, likely because it had deteriorated beyond the point of effectiveness.
Old Fiberglass Insulation
The crawl space was insulated with fiberglass. This typically doesn't last long in a high-moisture, high-humidity crawl space. We removed the insulation to install a more lasting solution in its place.
Drainage Matting Installation
The crew installs dimpled plastic drainage matting on the crawl space floors to help disperse moisture beneath the crawl space liner. It also acts as a barrier between the substrate and the liner.
CleanSpace Liner Installation
The durable plastic CleanSpace liner is laid over top of the drainage matting to effectively seal out moisture, humid air, pests, dirt, and mold.
SilverGlo Insulation Panels
SilverGlo rigid foam insulation panels provide a much more effective barrier than fiberglass insulation. This keeps conditioned air contained and prevents humid air from seeping in. This improves energy efficiency and air quality throughout the entire home.
