Photo Album: Waterproofing Transformation in Just One Day - Newark, OH

After a series of heavy rainstorms in Central Ohio, this Newark, OH homeowner discovered water had flooded their basement, damaging storage items and leaving the space damp and unusable. Having seen Mid-State Basement Systems on TV, they gave us a call for help. Inspector Corey went out to assess the situation and proposed a full waterproofing solution: 77 feet of WaterGuard perimeter drainage and a new SuperSump pump system.   When our crew, led by Foreman Lane, arrived, they began by breaking out the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench for the WaterGuard system. The trench was carefully cleaned and prepared before laying the WaterGuard piping, which is designed to sit above the footing and collect water leaking in through the walls or floor joint.   Next, the team installed the SuperSump system in a prepared pit. This powerful pump includes a cast-iron Zoeller pump and an airtight lid to prevent odors and moisture from escaping into the home. Once the system was in place, we connected the WaterGuard to the sump, ensuring seamless drainage.     After testing the system, the crew covered the WaterGuard with fresh concrete, restoring the floor and leaving a clean finish. In just one day, this basement was transformed from a flood-prone area into a dry, protected space.
