Structural Repairs and Waterproofing in Columbus, OH
Challenge
Our crew tackled an extensive job in South Columbus, Ohio. The homeowner reached out with concerns about water in their basement. Upon arrival, our Sales Inspector, Charlie, completed a full inspection of the inside and outside of the home. He confirmed several points of water entry caused by cracks in the foundation. He recommended a full perimeter of our WaterGuard basement drainage system as well as static steel I-beams to stabilize the foundation walls, preventing the cracks from getting worse.
Solution
Our crew visited the home on the scheduled job date and completed the installation of these products. They begin by digging a trench around the basement perimeter in which they install the WaterGuard drainage pipe. Next, they install the steel beams in areas where the walls needed reinforcement. With the walls stabilized, the crew could then seal up the cracks with an epoxy sealant. The crew installed our CleanSpace wall vapor barrier on the bottom third of the wall to catch any leaks and properly drain it into the WaterGuard system. The crew finishes up by re-concreting the floors around the basement perimeter.
