Challenge

A homeowner in Waldo, Ohio, had a water problem in their finished basement. They wanted to waterproof the basement while preserving as much of the drywall as possible without having to completely rip it out.

Solution

Our crew installed WaterGuard in the finished basement while removing only the carpeting and about a foot of drywall from the bottom of the basement wall. This allowed the crew enough access to complete the installation without having to demo the entire wall. Now, the wall can be safely re-finished with peace of mind against leaks and moisture.

The home had a finished basement with a workout room that was prone to leaks and moisture along the baseboards.

Our crew removed the ruined carpeting and about a foot of the drywall near the baseboards to install the WaterGaurd French drain system.

WaterGuard is designed to capture water seepage and drain it via the basement sump pump system, preventing minor leaks from ruining the drywall and carpeting again in the future.

The crew re-concretes the floor. Once dry, the walls and floors can be safely re-finished.
