Leaky Crack Repair in a Finished Basement in Dublin, OH
Challenge
Our crew visited a home in Dublin, Ohio, to repair a leaky wall crack behind their finished basement wall. We came up with a plan to remove the drywall, repair the crack, and replace the drywall while minimizing damage and disturbance to the rest of the basement.
Solution
The crew first carefully removed the water damaged section of drywall and enough of the wall to allow them to access the crack for repairs. They then prepped the wall for our FlexiSpan wall crack repair system. They inject the crack with a polyurethane polymer that penetrates deep into the crack to create a durable yet flexible seal.
Next, the crew digs a small dry well beneath the crack to drain any water seepage should it occur. The crew then overlays the sealed wall crack with a polyurethane sealant and seals it with a layer of our CleanSpace wall vapor barrier.
The next day, our wall restoration crew visited the home to repair the drywall, leaving no trace behind except for a dry basement!
