A new homeowner in Bluffton, OH reached out to Mid-State Basement Systems after noticing a strong musty smell coming from the basement that was spreading throughout the house. Along with the odor, they discovered bowing basement walls raising concerns about both water intrusion and structural stability. Our inspector, Corey, completed a full inspection and recommended a comprehensive solution: 116 feet of WaterGuard Interior Drainage System, a CleanSpace Wall System to help with moisture control, a SuperSump Plus pump system for water removal, and 15 feet of discharge line to carry water safely away from the foundation. To stabilize the bowing walls, we also installed GeoLock®Wall Anchors. With these systems in place, the basement is now dry, stable, and free of that lingering musty smell.
