Before WaterGuard Installation
The basement wall and floor prior to WaterGuard installation. In the corner, you can see several signs of water entry on the wall and floor.
First Step: Digging the Trench
To install WaterGuard, the crew must dig a trench around the basement perimeter. If there are not already weep holes in the wall, the crew will drill new ones.
WaterGuard Installation
The crew fills the trench with gravel and installs the WaterGuard drainage pipe. The pipe has several weep holes to collect water seepage from the basement walls and guide it to the basement's sump pump system.
WaterGuard after installation
With the WaterGuard drainage pipe in place, the crew re-concretes the floor for a seamless finish.
