A woman in Marion, OH had mold and water in her crawl space, so her son-in-law called Mid-State Basement Systems to come to help her out. Our certified inspector, Steve Davis, visited the home to do an inspection and provide a quote for encapsulation and waterproofing. The family liked our products, so they decided to go with us for the work. Our crew, led by foreman Silvino Granados, installed all the products including SmartSump (a sump pump specifically designed for crawl spaces), SmartPipe (a perimeter drainage system), and CleanSpace vapor barrier. The homeowner is happy with the results and no longer has to worry about a wet or moldy crawl space.
A basement in Hilliard, Ohio needed to be waterproofed, so we used many of our products to do it. One of these products was IceGuard. IceGuard is an attachment that allows water to escape from a sump pump discharge line if the pipe freezes or becomes blocked. Water can escape the pipe outlet even if it is buried beneath a foot of ice and snow, allowing the sump pump to keep the basement dry. The homeowner does not need to turn valves, attach hoses, or do anything else. This is s great tool for the winter months.
A homeowner in Westerville, OH called Mid-State Basement Systems because her basement walls were cracked and bowing. Our certified inspector, Jiovanni Valentino, visited the home to do a thorough inspection and provide a free quote for a permanent repair. Jiovanni recommended using PowerBrace i-beams and carbon fiber straps to prevent further inward movement of the walls. He also found that the basement also had mold and signs of previous flooding, so he recommended waterproofing it as well. To top it off, he discussed using BrightWall to cover up the unsightly walls and make the basement look fresh and clean. The homeowner agreed to go with these repairs, so our crew went out and installed all of these products. The homeowner no longer has to worry about the integrity of her foundation or leaking and mold in the home.
