Crawl Space During Inspection
Our inspector found standing water, dirt, mold, pests in the crawl space. The insulation had also become so wet that it was falling from between the floor joists.
StarPipe Drainage Pipe
The crew installed 455 feet of drainage pipe around the crawl space perimeter. These pipes connect to the sump pumps to drain water out of the crawl space.
Drainage Matting Installation
The crew installs drainage matting beneath the crawl space liner to help disperse moisture and create a buffer between the stone substrate and the liner.
Dehumidifer & Sump Pump with Battery Backup
Pictured is 1 of 4 sump pumps and 1 of 2 dehumidifiers installed in the crawl space. The sump pumps remove excess water from the crawl space and pump it away from the foundation. The dehumidifiers reduce the crawl space humidity to inhibit mildew, musty odors, mold, and wood rot.
Encapsulation Finished Results
After the encapsulation, the crawl space is completely transformed into a clean, dry, and healthy space. The air quality is greatly improved, as well as the energy efficiency of the entire building.
