This homeowner's crawl space had a persistent musty smell that could not be ignored any longer. After researching companies in the area, they decided to go with us at Mid-State Basement Systems. After reading all of the positive reviews, they were confident in our ability to help. Our inspector Francis went out to the home to give a free inspection and estimate. Upon entering the crawl space Francis found standing water, mold and lots of efflorescence. Francis recommended a full perimeter drain, our SmartPipe system, be installed in the crawl space. This would be paired with our SuperSump Plus sump system, and tied into the existing discharge li es the home already had. The wooden supplemental beams in the space had rotted, so those would be replaced by SmartJack XT support posts and anew main load beam to support the home above the crawl space. Finally, we installed drainage matting and the CleanSpace Vapor barrier system. Our foreman Silvino and his crew got to work and really transforming this wet, moldy musty space into a clean and dry one.
