This historic German Village home in Columbus, OH had a sagging kitchen addition with a mix of fieldstone and old porch concrete or brick for its foundation. Inspector Ryan recommended a stabilization solution, and Foreman Nate and his crew installed three SmartJack XT posts and a new support beam to lift and support the floor. To protect the space from moisture, they also sealed the ground with CleanSpace vapor barrier.

This homeowner called Mid-State Basements because their finished basement was leaking water in through the walls. Our team removed the wood panel walls to install the WaterGaurd in-ground drainage system and an UltraSump sump pump to ensure the basement would stay dry.

The WaterGuard system is installed inside the basement along the perimeter to effectively capture wall and floor seepage before it reaches the basement floor. Water enters the system via inlet holes and flows through the drainage pipe to the sump pump. The UltraSump comes with a back-up battery to ensure your sump pump keeps working even if the power goes out.
