Challenge

This home in Columbus, Ohio, has a retaining wall that extends from the home next to the driveway. Over time, the wall had begun to lean toward the driveway, partially obstructing access to the garage. The homeowner wanted a solution to correct the wall back toward its original position, allowing him to park both family cars in the garage without obstruction.

Solution

We sent out a crew to install 4 GeoLock wall anchors along the retaining wall. This involves embedding anchors in stable soil and connecting them to steel brackets with a galvanized connecting rod. This system prevents the retaining wall from further movement toward the driveway and can be tightened over time to correct the wall back towards its original position.
