Challenge

We were contracted to install our SmartJacks XT system in a basement with a partial crawl space. This meant we needed to install the Jacks at two different heights and pour a concrete footing for each Jack.

Solution

We installed 11 SmartJacks in total: 4 in the crawl space and 7 in the basement. We also installed a supplemental steel beam to support the main floor joists and the SmartJacks system. At the end, we were able to stabilize the home's foundation and provide some lift to the floors in the home.

The crew excavated a portion of the ground in the crawl space to pour concrete footings for the Jacks.

Once the concrete cures, the crew installs the SmartJacks and supplemental beam.

With the SmartJack XT system in place, the steel beams take on some of the weight from the old floor joists, stabilizing the foundation and allowing the sinking floors to be corrected.
